The most important aspect of health, strength, and vitality is to be loose and flexible. The way to stay limber and ensure and that muscles will remain healthy, and tendons and ligaments wont tear is to stretch, especially before and after a work out. Most people don’t know that strength comes from flexibility. A person can lift as many weights as they want, but if they are unable to bend their arms or put their tendons and ligaments to the max then they will tear. Stretching is most important before and after workouts because that is when the body tends to recoil and become the tightest.
That’s why Yoga is so important. Yoga is the centering and stretching every part of the body from the bottom of the feet to the top of the toes. It can be said that people who do yoga normally are the most flexible of all athletes. Here are just a few ways yoga help before after a workout.
1. Tendons and Ligaments- By stretching the tendons and ligaments, not only will they become stronger but more pliable and flexible as well. This will reduce injury.
2. Muscles- Yoga will help to warm the muscles up before workouts to make sure they don’t pull or strain to much, but yoga will also effectively cool the muscles down after a workout to get rid of any acid build up.
3. Heart- Safely warming up the heart before workouts and slowly bringing it back down after a workout is the best to avoid heart stress and to ensure that it will remain strong.
Yoga is important because it prepares the body mentally and physically to start and end a workout, but it is also important because creates flexibility which help benefit the overall health of anyone who tries it.
