When first beginning a new workout regime, few people understand that doing it the right way; meaning that they do not work out so much that their muscles are overly fatigued makes all the difference. Some people, especially if they haven’t worked out in a while want to start off like gangbusters. They have recently gotten the urge to actually lose some weight and get into better shape and so when they hit the gym, they go all out on everything. Most of the time they are also working out for too long a period and when they go home and let their muscles rebound from the workout they notice that their muscles aren’t bouncing back like they hoped.
Of course the problem with this is that they then don’t make it to the gym for a couple of days as they wait out the pain in their bodies to recede and they actually get out of the mood that had them going to the gym in the first place. The best way to go about getting into a good routine is to make sure the weights you are lifting are not easy to lift, but not so difficult that you don’t want to lift them the next time. Same goes with the treadmill, in that you should stay on it to the point where your body is clearly taxed but don’t push yourself past the point where it seems like a chore to do it again.
It is also extremely important to make sure that on alternating days you are alternating the muscle groups being worked. Most trainers will tell you to work the upper body on Monday, then the lower body on Tuesday then use Wednesday as a cardio day and then start the process over. However you want to work it, make sure you can handle the workout or else you won’t be coming back. If you are interested in becoming an trainer, then we have many online degree programs, that help to achieve our goal.
