The best way to lose weight after being pregnant

When Pregnant it’s normal and even healthy to gain some weight to support the growing new life of the baby. But after the stress of pregnancy, most women have the urge to get back into their pre-pregnancy jeans and lose the “baby weight” they put on. Instead of jumping on the extreme diet bandwagon, or even starving yourself to lose weight, there are better ways to lose weight that are healthier for your body and helpful to your new schedule.
Many doctors suggest that if possible,an easy way to shed a few “pregnancy pounds” is by breast-feeding your baby. If you have no problems breast-feeding, and your baby has no difficulties with latching or with your milk, breast-feeding is a healthy, beneficial way to shed a few pounds while giving your new baby nourishment and even spending time with them.
Another easy way to lose baby weight is regular exercise. Start off easy, with only a few minuets a day. If not too cold out, you can even go running with your baby by jogging with their stroller. They even sell strollers that are for all types of terrain and for runners.
Even a quick brisk walk works. If exercising at home, try a few exercises while your child is asleep in the next room. Many doctors suggest waiting 8 weeks after a vaginal birth to exercise, and 6 weeks after a C-section. Another easy exercise is swimming or post-natal yoga. Bring along another new mother friend, for a work-out partner that motivates you.
While exercise is important to weight-loss, another key area to fix is what you eat. Come up with a healthy post-pregnancy diet plan of healthy foods such as veggies, lean meats and low carbs. Nutritious foods are much better than foods that cause you to drop weight fast. Stick to your plan of action, and with hard work you’ll be back in your pre-pregnancy jeans in no time.
