Gain Muscle Strength Through Body Building Exercises

Exercise helps everyone and can maintain a healthy body. However, if you want to add some bulk to your frame and tone up even more you may consider adding body building exercises to your health regimen. Body building exercises and work outs are entirely different from regular exercise such as a treadmill or elliptical machine usage. You don’t even have to buy expensive body building equipment or join a gym to do body building exercises. Here are a few examples:

  • Push ups. Push ups can help build the muscles in your arms and help you gain upper body strength.
  • Leg squats. Leg squats allow you to build your leg muscles and gain strength in your legs and lower body.
  • Leg lunges. Let lunges do similarly to leg squats and help you build muscle in your legs as well as more lower body strength.

If you want to have the use of bodybuilding equipment such as with weights or resistance machines then you can find them used through online sites or join a gym. Many gyms have specials throughout the year that allow you to join for free or try them out for 30 days. It all depends on the individual gym so you have to see what is right for you. It’s not a necessity to join a gym or buy equipment but once you are used to the “free” ways of building up muscle you may want to move on to something more challenging.

However you decide to approach it, keep in mind that you’ll want to start out slow; two sets of 15 reps each is a good start if you are not in good shape. As always, consult your doctor before starting a new exercise program and especially if you have any health issues.
